April 2020 – Opening of the first formal Tokyo campus (Kuni Building, Tsukiji).

Concept, Launch & Establishment

August 2014(Heisei 26) – Sunshine Kids Academy begins operations in Tokyo as an independent early childhood education initiative founded by Shazia Kitahara.

2014–2016(Heisei 26–28) – The school develops its early learning program and community presence, serving local and international families through a small, nurturing preschool environment.

2016(Heisei 28) – Sunshine Kids Academy is formally incorporated as Sunshine Kids Academy KK, establishing its registered company structure and supporting future growth and expansion.

2017–2019 – Expansion of the preschool program, introduction of kindergarten readiness and early childhood enrichment classes.

Expansion, Relocation
& Approval

August 2024 – The Shin-Urayasu Campus (Chiba) achieves Ninkagai approval (認可外保育施設).

Expansion of preschool and kindergarten groups, introduction of new classrooms and enhanced facilities.

September 10, 2024 (Reiwa 6) – Tokyo campus relocates from Kuni Building to VORT Shintomicho (Chuo-ku).

October 2024 – Tokyo campus officially receives Ninkagai approval.


Operational Development &
